Ultrasound Technician
Job Duties:
Key Responsibilities:
Perform venous reflux studies, venous mapping, and limited arterial scans as ordered by the physician.
Prepare patients for ultrasound procedures and explain the process to ensure comfort and understanding.
Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment to ensure optimal performance and image quality.
Record, measure, and document findings accurately for physician interpretation.
Assist the physician with ultrasound-guided vein procedures (e.g., endovenous ablation, sclerotherapy).
Maintain cleanliness and readiness of the ultrasound room and equipment.
Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure smooth patient flow and high-quality care.
Adhere to all HIPAA, infection control, and safety protocols.
Qualifications:
Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or Registered Vascular Sonographer (RVS) certification required.
Minimum of 1–2 years of vascular ultrasound experience (venous experience strongly preferred).
Knowledge of venous anatomy, pathology, and reflux testing protocols.
Excellent communication and patient care skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a busy clinical environment.
Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems preferred.
