Job Duties:
Provide psychiatric services to at-risk youth ages 16-24 at Gary Job Corps Center. Conduct psychiatric evaluations, develop treatment plans, and prescribe/manage psychiatric medications (psychotropics, mood stabilizers, antidepressants, stimulants). Monitor medication efficacy, side effects, and compliance. Provide crisis intervention and supportive psychotherapy. Collaborate with center physician and wellness staff on medication monitoring and case conferences. Participate in monthly medication reviews. Consult on medical separation determinations for mental health conditions. Maintain confidential mental health records per Job Corps Federal Regulations. Work as part of multidisciplinary team serving residential training facility population.
Education Requirements:
Must have a PhD/Doctor’s Degree
Must have a Bachelor’s Degree
Must have a High School Diploma
Good to have a Master’s Degree
Skill Requirements:
Must have 0-1 years of experience in Active Texas Medical License
Must have 0-1 years of experience in DEA Registration
Must have 1+ years of experience in Psychiatric Medication Management
Must have 1+ years of experience in Psychotropic Medication Prescribing
Must have 1+ years of experience in Psychiatric Evaluation and Assessment
Must have 1+ years of experience in Treatment Plan Development
Must have 1+ years of experience in Crisis Intervention
