Job Description

Established nephrology practice in Brooklyn looking for a part-time/part time PA/NP to join our team! Due to our growth we have an immediate opening for a compassionate and driven PA/NP who can provide top notch care to our various patients. You will be supervised by the physician while you conduct physical examinations, interpret lab tests and oversee patients’ health. You’ll be both a health practitioner and an educator in various medical setting. You will be working closely with other healthcare professionals, so please bring a team spirit and a positive attitude. Patience, good communication and problem-solving skills are important. If you’re dedicated to advancing your knowledge and clinical expertise we look forward to meeting with you!

 

 Responsibilities:

• Assist physician in diagnosing medical problems, developing care plans, and prescribing treatment • Clinic and patient education on disease and treatments

• Assist with out-patient dialysis rounding

• Order laboratory tests and diagnostic procedures

• Prescribe appropriate medications • Interpret diagnostic data to implement appropriate care plans • Maintain and update current, accurate patient records including medical assessment, interventions, and evaluations

• Educate patients and their family members on diseases, treatment and prevention

• Oversee patients’ overall health

 

 Skills:

• Sound medical knowledge and clinical skills.

• Knowledge of health and patient care regulations

• Excellent communication skills

• Strong ethics

• Team spirit with a positive attitude

• Willingness to continue gaining knowledge and clinical experience Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited PA/NP program.

• Currently certified as a PA/NP,

• Licensed as appropriate in the state of New York

 

 

 Schedule:

• 2-3 Days a week (at least One day of Monday, Wednesday, or Friday, and one day of Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday)

• 8 hours a day.

Education Requirements:

Must have a Bachelor’s Degree
Must have a High School Diploma
Good to have a Master’s Degree
