Job Duties:
The primary responsibility of this role is to manage all operations of the pharmacy. This includes overseeing the preparation and dispensing of prescriptions, ensuring compliance with pharmaceutical laws and regulations, and maintaining records for controlled substances.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supervise the work results of support personnel.
2. Maintain procedures for handling of the drug supply management, including order receipt, invoicing, stocking, and inventory control.
3. Ensure medication availability by delivering medications to patients and departments.
4. Prepare medications by reviewing and interpreting physician orders and detecting therapeutic incompatibilities.
5. Dispense medications by compounding, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals.
6. Complete pharmacy operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees and following up on work results.
7. Protect patients and technicians by adhering to infection-control protocols.
8. Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
9. Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Requirements:
1. A Doctor of Pharmacy degree (PharmD) from an accredited institution.
2. Must hold a current state license to practice pharmacy.
3. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a pharmacy setting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
4. Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical laws and regulations.
5. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
6. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions under pressure.
7. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking skills.
8. Proficiency in using pharmacy software systems.
9. Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.

Must have a Bachelor’s Degree
Must have a High School Diploma
Good to have a PhD/Doctor’s Degree
