Echocardiogram Technician

Primary responsibilities include performing diagnostic examinations using echocardiogram equipment, preparing patients for the procedure, and explaining the process to them. The technician will also be responsible for maintaining the equipment, ensuring its proper function, and troubleshooting any issues that may arise.

Key duties will involve capturing images of the heart, interpreting the echocardiograms, and providing the results to the physician for further analysis. The technician will also be responsible for maintaining patient records, ensuring the confidentiality and accuracy of the information.

Requirements for this position include a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of an accredited echocardiogram technician program, and certification as an echocardiogram technician. The candidate must have strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a thorough understanding of cardiac anatomy and physiology.

Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred, and the candidate must be able to work independently, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and maintain a high level of accuracy in a fast-paced environment. The candidate must also have the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and medical staff.

Physical requirements include the ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy equipment, and perform repetitive movements. The candidate must also have good visual acuity and manual dexterity.
