Position Summary
The Supervising Pharmacist is responsible for overseeing daily pharmacy operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, accurate medication dispensing, and high-quality patient care. This role offers the opportunity to help establish and support pharmacy operations in a patient-focused environment while leading workflow, staff support, and medication management processes.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily pharmacy operations and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
- Verify prescriptions and ensure accurate, safe, and efficient medication dispensing
- Supervise pharmacy staff and support effective workflow management
- Provide patient counseling and medication education
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including medication ordering and stock monitoring
- Maintain quality standards and promote a patient-centered pharmacy environment
- Support the development and improvement of pharmacy operations and procedures
Qualifications
- Active New York State Pharmacist License required
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient care
- Knowledge of pharmacy operations, regulations, and medication safety standards
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a low-volume, patient-focused pharmacy setting
