Sterile Registered/Licensed Pharmacist
Position Summary
We are seeking a Registered/Licensed Pharmacist with sterile compounding experience to prepare and dispense medications safely in accordance with applicable standards. The Pharmacist will oversee sterile preparations, verify medication orders, and ensure quality and patient safety.
Responsibilities
- Review and verify medication orders for accuracy and appropriateness.
- Prepare and supervise sterile compounded medications as required.
- Perform final product verification before dispensing.
- Follow sterile compounding procedures and applicable USP standards.
- Maintain aseptic technique and proper environmental controls.
- Monitor medication storage, handling, and expiration dates.
- Perform and document quality control and safety checks.
- Maintain accurate pharmacy and compounding records.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Follow applicable pharmacy laws, regulations, and infection control standards.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent pharmacy degree.
- Current pharmacist license/registration in the applicable state.
- Sterile compounding experience preferred.
- Knowledge of USP <797> and sterile compounding practices preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, clinical judgment, and organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain high standards of medication safety and quality.

Registered pharmacist maintaining a license in good standing, Sterile certification (preferred), 2 years experience in sterile and/or nonsterile compounding, In-depth knowledge of USP <797> and <800> requirements, Understanding of aseptic technique principles, Knowledge of cleanroom design and engineering controls, Familiarity with media fill testing and environmental monitoring, Knowledge of sterilization methods and stability considerations, Understanding of hazardous drug risk assessments, Knowledge of compounding documentation requirements, Familiarity with equipment used in sterile compounding, Understanding of regulatory expectations, Knowledge of infection prevention and patient safety principles, Advanced aseptic technique, Strong attention to detail, Ability to interpret environmental monitoring data, Skill in maintaining cleanroom standards, Ability to train and evaluate staff competency, Effective problem-solving skills, Strong documentation and audit-readiness skills, Ability to prioritize and manage compounding workflow
