Job Duties:

About the Role
MedSquirrels is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) on behalf of one of its clients. This role focuses on providing medical care in a detox setting, including patient assessment, treatment planning, and ongoing clinical management.

Key Responsibilities
• Conduct medical assessments, including medical and substance use history
• Develop and manage individualized detox and care plans
• Monitor withdrawal symptoms using protocols such as CIWA and COWS
• Prescribe or oversee medications in accordance with regulations
• Evaluate patients daily and adjust treatment plans as needed
• Determine appropriateness for detox or higher level of care
• Respond to medical emergencies and document incidents
• Maintain accurate and compliant medical records

Qualifications
• Active Nurse Practitioner (NP) license
• Experience in detox, addiction medicine, or behavioral health preferred
• Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
